Fall is Natures Reminder to Slow Down
There’s something about the arrival of fall that just feels... different.
Maybe it's the cooler evenings, maybe it's the first pumpkin spice of the season, or maybe it's simply knowing the busy holiday months are just around the corner. Whatever it is, fall has a way of reminding us to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy the little things.
We're lucky here, as the summer crowds begin to thin, we're reminded why we love living here. The weather is still beautiful, the beaches are a little quieter, and it's the perfect time to spend an afternoon outside before the holiday hustle begins.
Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference.
A new fall flag by the front door instantly welcomes guests with the feel of the season. We always joke that changing your flag can completely change the look of your home—and it's a whole lot easier than repainting the house!
A decorative spinner catching the afternoon breeze, a colorful piece of outdoor wall art, or one of our favorite's the flickering solar hot air balloons can add just the right touch of warmth and personality to your garden after the sun goes down. They're simple updates that make us smile every time we see them.
Fall also reminds us to spend a little more time together.
When the homework is finished and the day begins to wind down, why note pull out a favorite board game, work on a puzzle together, go fly a kite on a beautiful afternoon, or simply put the phones away and enjoy each other's company. Life has a way of filling every minute, if we let it. Sometimes the best memories come from doing something wonderfully simple.
We see it in our store every year. Some visitors are looking for the perfect autumn flag. Others are beginning their holiday shopping, hoping to get ahead before December arrives. It's one of our favorite times of year because we get to help people find something that brings a little joy.
If there's one piece of advice we'd offer this fall, it's this: don't rush straight to the holidays. Enjoy fall first.
Take a quiet evening by the fire. Spend an afternoon outside. Add a little color to your garden. Find a gift when you discover it instead of waiting until the last minute. Most importantly, make a little time for the people you care about.
After all, if we could give every customer just one thing this season, it wouldn't simply be a great product. It would be a little more fun, a little less stress... and a whole lot more joy.
